The fabled “White Dove of the Desert”, San Savier Mission, (also known as "San Xavier del Bac Mission") was founded by Father Kino, a Jesuit missionary, in the late 1600’s. The mission is regarded as the best example of Spanish Moorish architecture in the United States. On an applied shield, under a clear coating, is an image of the mission.
